Boston-based Press Ganey, a provider of patient experience measurement, performance analytics and strategic advisory solutions, launched its Merit-Based Incentive Payment System Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems survey solution for healthcare organizations.
Press Ganey received CMS approval to administer the 2017 MIPS CAHPS survey. MIPS is one track under the Medicare Access and CHIP Reauthorization Act of 2015's Quality Payment Program. The CAHPS for MIPS survey is an optional quality measure for groups participating in MIPS.
MIPS CAHPS survey administration will take place between November and February 2018. Participating groups have to register with CMS by June 30 to administer the survey. Groups must also notify CMS by Sept. 19 if they contracted with Press Ganey to vendor the survey.
