Idaho schools expand physician assistant training program

Lewiston, Idaho-based Lewis-Clark State College and Boise-based Idaho State University partnered to expand physician assistant training across the state.

Idaho State offers the only physician assistant program in the state, but with the agreement, it will allow curricula to be delivered locally and virtually to students in Northern Idaho, according to a Dec. 15 news release from Lewis-Clark.

The first cohort will begin immediately. The program will add sites and the systems will continue to collaborate on other health professions' education areas, according to the release.
