How much 5 hospitals are spending on expansion projects

Hospitals in Washington, West Virginia, North Carolina, Georgia and Texas have all announced expansion plans.

Here is how much five hospitals are paying for expansions:



  1. Prosser (Wash.) Memorial Health is set to complete the construction of a $112 million replacement hospital.

  2. Morgantown, W.Va.-based WVU Medicine is looking to spend between $75 million and $90 million to rebuild a shuttered hospital campus into a cancer care center.

  3. Greensboro, N.C.-based Cone Health is spending $72 million to expand its cancer center. 

  4. Atlanta-based Piedmont is breaking ground on a five-story $215 million patient tower.

  5. Round Rock, Texas-based Ascension Seton Willamson announced a $230 million expansion that will add 160 beds.
