After a decade of serving as president of Kaiser Permanente Hospitals and Health Plan of the Northwest, Andrew McCulloch is retiring next month.
Here are three points:
1. Mr. McCulloch assumed his role in 2006.
2. During his tenure, the health plan was highly rated by the National Committee on Quality Assurance. It was also a leader in member satisfaction as measured by J.D. Power member health plan study.
3. Mr. McCulloch also led Kaiser Permanente to invest more than $1 billion in community benefit and health projects, such as building medically supported housing for the homeless in Portland, Ore.
