Trump acknowledges health reform bill may not 'get done'

President Donald Trump stressed the importance of health reform Tuesday after Senate Republicans delayed a vote on the Better Care Reconciliation Act, reports Politico.

In remarks to GOP lawmakers, he said the BCRA, which would replace the ACA, "will be great, if we get it done."

President Trump said, "And if we don't get it done, it's just going to be something that we're not going to like, and that's OK and I understand that very well."

"But I think we have a chance to do something very, very important for the public, very, very important for the people of our country that we love," he added.

Senate Republicans delayed a procedural vote on the BCRA Tuesday following opposition to the bill from multiple conservative and moderate chamber members. The Senate is not expected to take up healthcare again until the July 4 recess is over, according to the report.
