In a press conference Tuesday, White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer said President Donald Trump wanted the Senate to propose a version of the AHCA “with heart,” according to ABC News.
Mr. Spicer declined to elaborate on what was meant by “heart,” though he did go on to say that Senate Democrats could have been involved more closely in the bill’s drafting if they wanted to, and that it was their choice not to engage in the process.
Senate Democrats and even some Republicans have voiced their desire to see the bill, though Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has been intent on keeping it under wraps until it is publicly unveiled.
Sen. McConnell announced Wednesday that details of the bill will be revealed Thursday, with the goal of voting on it next week.
